1. How do I get my information on my organization on the city website or Missouri City television?

Per city policy, information is produced about the city’s programs and services. As time and space allow, information is included for other government agencies whose jurisdiction includes all or part of Missouri City and for a city-sponsored organization or event (defined as receiving monetary or in-kind support from the City of Missouri City).

2. How often is the citizen newsletter mailed?

The newsletter is mailed quarterly. The "Show Me" Missouri City Newsletter is also available online in a digital format.

1. How do I become a volunteer with the City?

Residents interested in becoming City of Missouri City volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and submit it for review. Once you have been cleared for service, you will be contacted by staff for more information.

2. What volunteer opportunities are available?

We are currently accepting applications for volunteers in the Animal Shelter and Parks & Recreation departments ONLY. All applicants must undergo a background check.

3. What if an area in which I’d like to volunteer is not offered by the City?

City staff are always open to hearing ideas for new or potential volunteer programs. If you do not see an existing program that fits your volunteer interests, please explain in your volunteer application how you would like to help and staff will follow up with you accordingly.

4. Do you have Court-mandated volunteer opportunities?

Residents who need to complete court-mandated volunteer hours should contact the Communications Manager at 281-403-8530 to learn about the next volunteer opportunity.

5. Can I earn school credit with my volunteer hours?

The City is happy to facilitate any credit fulfillment needs for students, on a case-by-case basis. Please indicate on your MVP application that you would like to use your volunteer hours for credit.
