At the Monday, July 17 Regular Meeting, council members approved an ordinance for a change of street name from Bedford Forrest Drive to Liberty Way Drive; approved the use of a 0.24-acre tract of land in an above-ground sewer facility; and approved a resolution authorizing the submission of a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Local Parks Grant application. Consent Agenda
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to execute a contract for the purchase of Sodium Hydroxide, a chemical used at the City's Surface Water Treatment Plant.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to execute a construction contract with T Construction, LLC, for the 12-inch Gravity Sewer Main Project.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to execute a two-year contract with Polydyne, Inc. for the purchase of polymers used in wastewater treatment.
- Authorized (6-0) the Mayor to accept a permanent easement needed for the installation of a sanitary sewer force main.
- Authorized (6-0) the City Manager to execute a construction contract with Matula & Matula Construction for the Mustang Bayou Force main and SH6 water line extension.
- Approved (6-0) an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, approving and ratifying a meet and confer agreement between the City and the Missouri City Police Officers Association.
- Approved (6-0) an ordinance to authorize a street name change from Bedford Forrest Drive to Liberty Way Drive.

- Approved (6-0) on the first of two readings an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, granting a Specific Use Permit authorizing the use of a 0.24-acre tract of land in Missouri City as a specific use: aboveground sewer facility; providing limitations, restrictions, and conditions on such specific use; amending the zoning district map of the City of Missouri City; providing for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan; providing for repeal; providing a penalty; providing for severability; and containing other provisions relating to the subject.
- Approved (6-0) an ordinance of the City of Missouri City, Texas, amending Chapter 16, Naming of City Property and Programs, of the Missouri City Code by decreasing the percentage of property owners required to petition to change the name of a public street.
- Approved (6-0) – An ordinance to authorize a street name change from Bedford Forrest Court to Liberty Way Court.
Authorizations
Authorized (6-0) a payment for $200,000 to MHL USA Holdings, LLC, for the economic development agreement for facade improvements.
Resolutions
Approved (6-0) a resolution authorizing the submission of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Local Parks Grant application through the City of Missouri City in the amount of $750,000 for Sta-Mo Sports Park.
