As part of the City’s goal to protect property values and to help keep Missouri City one of America’s BEST communities, staff is working to launch code enforcement sweeps citywide. Homeowners Associations, residents and businesses are being given advance notice through the official communications outlets prior to inspectors surveying the community to observe whether any infractions exist.
The goal of the sweeps is to educate residents and businesses about the City’s standards, emphasizing the importance enforcement has in helping to maintain a quality community. As part of the effort, warnings and citations will be issued to address violations.
Homeowners, property owners and businesses will be cited to court for violating the following codes:
- High grass or weeds
- Junk cars or vehicles, including those with expired license plates or inspection stickers
- Parking on the grass
- Dirty pools
- Trash cans, yard waste or any type of garbage left out in public view, except during allowed times
- Parking lot maintenance
- Landscaping requirements
