REMINDER: Input Meeting for Proposed FM 1092 Medians is Tomorrow | 2 p.m. | Community Center

Events

What: Missouri City is inviting residents, businesses and stakeholders to learn more about the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) proposed FM 1092 (Murphy Road) median installation and to provide additional feedback.

According to TxDOT, the project would replace the continuous center turn lane along FM 1092 from I-69 (US 59) to Hwy. 6 with a raised median. This raised median would include numerous left turn-lanes in both the south and north directions to provide access to the cross-connecting roadways and select driveways throughout the project area.

Officials and staff received inquiries from businesses and residents regarding the proposal and to clarify some of those concerns, staff gave an overview of this TxDOT project at the Jan. 19, 2021 Special City Council meeting.

In addition, as this is a major thoroughfare and this improvement will impact subdivisions and businesses along FM 1092, the City is partnering with TxDOT to host a public meeting at the Community Center so that staff and TxDOT partners may further explain the project scope and timeline, provide enlarged visuals and address any additional questions or concerns.
