In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, MCTX City Councilmembers had a new system in place at the Monday, March 16 meeting to ensure proper safety for everyone in attendance. In alliance with local, state and national guidelines, City Council, staff and the audience practiced social distancing throughout the meeting.
Also, City Council authorized the purchase of Fire & Rescue Services firefighter protective clothing; authorized the request by the Exchange Club of Fort Bend to post child abuse awareness signs along Highway 90A and Present Street; adopted a schedule of fees pertaining to the regulation, registration, impoundment and handling of animals by the City of Missouri City, Texas. Here is a rundown of all Council actions at the meeting:
Proclaimed March 25, 2020 as “Greek Independence day” in the City of Missouri City.
Proclaimed March as “Women’s History Month” in the City of Missouri City.

The next Regular City Council Meeting will be held on Monday, April 6 at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers.
