Independence Park

Park Overview

Independence Park provides 50 acres of beautiful scenery, including a lake for fishing and boating.

The city received a state boat ramp grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to construct the first public boat ramp in Fort Bend County. The grant was a 75% / 25% matching grant with the city responsible for funding only 25% of the project. Other amenities funded by the grant included parking, courtesy docks, lighting, and signage.
