Purpose
Permits are required for a variety of new construction, remodeling, and site work activities within the City of Missouri City. Obtaining a permit allows professional building code specialists and inspectors to review construction plans for compliance with life safety and structural building codes. Permitting protects property values by ensuring that construction activities are performed at least to recognized industry standards.

Certain permit applications, payments, and status updates are also available 24-7 using the city’s online permit system, Citizen Self Service (CSS).
Inspections
Inspections may be scheduled using the following Inspections Voice Permit Line or through CSS. Inspection requests sent via email are no longer accepted.
