The No. 1 priority for Missouri City is the safety of its citizens. During this pandemic, City officials have responded proactively to ensure that resources such as food, medicine, PPE and CARES Act grants are available to our residents and stakeholders.

Additionally, the City’s Emergency Operations Center has been activated since March 12, with staff closely working with County and State officials to ensure mask, social distancing and other public health guidelines are in place and enforced. As a part of our citizen education and engagement, we have produced/distributed fliers, produced several PSA videos, hosted ZOOM meetings/discussions, hosted PPE/Food Distributions, distributed newsletters and issued news releases, reminding the public to follow all public health precautions to safeguard local families and businesses.

According to County statistics released this week, there have been more than 2,307 positive cases of COVID-19 in Missouri City, and 65 deaths.

The City is steadfast in working to curb the pandemic and will remain on the front lines to protect our community. Part of that safety plan includes identifying local testing sites. All Missouri City residents are urged to get tested for COVID-19; below are testing centers in the area:

  • CVS Drugstore, 2781 Dulles Ave. & 1610 Cartwright Rd.
  • Excel Urgent Care, 6840 Hwy. 6
  • Next Level Urgent Care—Sienna, 8720 Hwy. 6, #400
  • UT Physicians Multispeciality—Sienna, 8810 Hwy. 6, #100
  • Smart Financial Centre, 1811 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land
  • Fifth Street Community Center, 3110 5th St., Stafford
  • Best Health Urgent Care & Clinic, 3003 Texas Parkway, Missouri City
