Parks Agenda

Join us at the Family Fun Night-Summer Kickoff Party this Friday, May 17! The bash will feature exciting, family-friendly activities at the Recreation & Tennis Center from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The summer kick-off party will include a variety of games as well as an ice cream bar! Snacks and drinks will be provided; parental supervision is required throughout the evening.


In addition to the initiative above, the Parks & Recreation Department has a full program agenda that is fun for all ages. Visit or see details below:

Breakfast and Bingo

  • What: Monthly bingo for area residents who are 50 and older. Visit with peers and play friendly rounds of bingo for great prizes.
  • When: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16
  • Where: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.
  • Cost: $5

Intro to Pickleball

  • What: This class focuses on the basics of pickleball; learn about scoring, rules, point play and game play.
  • When: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21
  • Where: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.
  • Cost: Free for members, $5 day pass for non-members

How Does It Work: The Avenues

  • What: Tour The Avenues of Fort Bend Living. Learn about amenities, activities, and dining, including enjoying a chef-cooked lunch!
  • When: 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 21
  • Where:  The Avenues of Fort Bend; 3505 FM 1092 Missouri City, TX 77459

Diabetes Management Class

  • What: Learn about diabetes management with this six-week class taught by The Institute for Spiritually and Health and TMF Health Quality Institute. Participants younger than 65 and who receive Medicare are eligible to participate.
  • When: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday from May 22 to June 26
  • Where: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.

Blood Drive

  • What: Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on-site with their mobile unit and everyone who donates blood will receive a coupon for a free eight-ounce shaved ice from Bahama Buck’s!
  • When: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 24
  • Where: Recreation & Tennis Center, 2701 Cypress Point Dr.

Children’s Dance Recital

  • What: Join us as the All-Star Academy presents “Dancing Through the 90s.”
  •  When: 4:30 p.m. (doors open at 4) on Saturday, June 1
  • Where: Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
  • Cost: $10 per person, $12 at the door
