In an effort to solicit increased community participation and involvement in identifying barriers to fair housing choice and priorities for affirmatively furthering fair housing, Missouri City will partner with Harris County and the cities of Galveston and Pasadena to hold a public meeting to gather resident and stakeholder perspective on housing issues in the region.
Missouri City, Harris County and the cities of Galveston and Pasadena receive block grants for community development and housing activities from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As a condition of receiving these funds, the County and cities must certify that they will “Affirmatively Further Fair Housing” choice—or AFFH.

Missouri City is taking part in the Statewide Warrant Roundup again, allowing offenders to settle their fines without going to jail. Payments will be accepted in person and by phone Wednesday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 23. Individuals who do not settle their fines risk arrest by the Missouri City Police Department at their homes, schools and businesses.
For information on how to pay a warrant fine in Missouri City call 281.403.8669 and pay with a credit card, go to Missouri City Municipal Court at 3845 Cartwright Rd. Extended hours will be in effect at the Court during the Roundup and will include a 24-hour opportunity to make a payment: a drop-box located to the left of the Court entrance or visit the City Website: http://bit.ly/2G7k90t
By failing to settle fines, individuals may not be able to renew their driver’s license and they are subject to being pulled over by police in other jurisdictions statewide through a system that tracks outstanding warrants.
